The challenge

What they were
up against.

Metal scrap trading runs on phone calls, brokers and personal networks. Buyers struggle to find sellers carrying the grade and quantity they actually need, sellers have no reliable way to reach demand beyond their own contacts, and price discovery happens one private negotiation at a time.

The category needed what other B2B sectors already have: a single marketplace where buyers and sellers meet, material is listed in a structured, comparable way, and a deal can move from enquiry to close without a chain of intermediaries.

What we built

The solution.

We designed and built Metlo end to end - a B2B marketplace for metal scrap trading where sellers list material by grade, quantity and location, and buyers bid in timed auctions with auto-bid and anti-sniping, so late bids extend the clock instead of stealing the lot.

The platform covers the full trade cycle: a public live-price feed with city-wise benchmarks, KYC verification at onboarding, grade checks and on-site weighing before material ships, GST-compliant documentation on every trade, pan-India pickup and delivery, and seller payment within two hours. Role-based accounts keep buyers and sellers to their own view of a deal.
